Salon Nayana guide · Reviewed August 2026
Guest beauty can be a generous hosted amenity, an optional convenience or a shared arrangement. Problems usually begin when the couple, family and guests make different assumptions about what is included.
Model 1: host-paid services
The hosts cover every confirmed service on the approved list. This creates a polished guest experience and simpler on-day payment, but the family needs a response deadline, cancellation rule and clear control over additions.
Model 2: host-paid priority groups
The hosts cover the bride, mothers, attendants, performers or immediate family while other guests may book separately. Define the eligible group in writing rather than asking the beauty coordinator to decide on the day.
Model 3: one complimentary service
A host might offer one service—such as saree draping—to confirmed guests while hair and make-up remain optional and guest-paid. This can solve a specific destination challenge without committing to a full service for everyone.
Model 4: guest-paid coordinated booking
The couple or planner organises the team and schedule, while guests pay for their selected services. Explain the price, payment timing, cancellation conditions and whether a request is confirmed only after payment or final approval.
Model 5: a fixed host contribution
The host contributes a stated amount or selected service, and the guest covers any upgrade or additional appointment. This needs careful administration so the final master list and payment record agree.
What to tell guests
Send the events covered, services available, who pays, how to select, the response deadline, cancellation terms and the time when the final schedule will be issued. Avoid describing a service as included until availability and the operating plan are confirmed.
A few things families ask
Helpful answers for later
Are hosts expected to pay for every guest’s hair and make-up?
No universal rule applies. Choose the arrangement that fits the hospitality plan and budget, then communicate it before guests opt in.
Can guests pay for their own appointments at the venue?
A guest-paid model can be discussed, but payment collection, confirmation and cancellation rules should be agreed before the list is circulated.
How do we stop last-minute additions?
Use one coordinator, a firm response deadline and one approved master list that only the authorised family or planner contact may change.
Tell us about the celebration you are imagining.
A date, destination and rough idea of the group is enough to begin. We can talk through the details together later.
