Salon Nayana guide · Reviewed August 2026
A multi-day Indian wedding can create several opportunities for professional preparation, but repeating the entire guest list at every function quickly makes the schedule and budget unworkable. Match the service level to each event.
Welcome event
A welcome dinner or sundowner often follows guest arrivals. Keep the plan flexible and avoid critical appointments for people whose flights or road transfers are uncertain. Consider lighter services or self-managed preparation for most guests, with confirmed appointments for hosts and immediate family.
Mehendi and haldi
These functions may involve hands, colour, movement, heat and daytime photography. Ask what the event requires before booking an elaborate finish. List performers, hosts and participants with fixed roles first.
Sangeet
Performers may have earlier stage calls than other guests and need a hairstyle or drape that supports movement. Separate rehearsal, soundcheck, portrait and guest-entry times. Keep costume and jewellery changes in the same master schedule.
Ceremony
The bride, mothers, attendants and family members with ritual responsibilities usually set the earliest deadlines. Count hair, make-up and draping separately. Give other guests appointment waves based on transport and seating times.
Reception or final celebration
A reception may require a new look, a touch-up or no professional service at all. Ask whether the couple and family are changing outfits, how much time sits between events and whether the beauty room remains available.
Build one multi-event matrix
Put people down the left and functions across the top, then mark the exact service requested in each cell. This shows repeated appointments, helps the hosts control the budget and prevents a guest from appearing in two places at once.
A few things families ask
Helpful answers for later
Do guests need professional services for every wedding function?
No. Choose the functions and services that matter most, then prioritise people with fixed roles and deadlines.
Should performers be in the first appointment wave?
Place them according to rehearsal, stage call, dressing and photography requirements, which may be earlier than the general guest deadline.
Can one beauty team cover several days?
Consecutive-event availability can be discussed once the full itinerary, locations, service counts and rest or travel requirements are known.
Tell us about the celebration you are imagining.
A date, destination and rough idea of the group is enough to begin. We can talk through the details together later.
