Salon Nayana’s story is closely tied to the journey of our Founder and Hair Director, Nayana Karunaratne, an entrepreneur of repute who is a globally-renowned hair stylist and a world-class hair and beauty trainer. Through passion and dedication, she built a salon empire that now stretches across South Asia, guided by a deep love for the craft of hairdressing and a desire to give back to Sri Lanka and its people.
She still visits the salon floor, tending to customers on request, while also offering her ever-relevant perspectives on hair and beauty styles plus techniques to staff members, both young and experienced. This extends a decades-long tradition of bringing international hair and beauty styles, techniques and standards home, which she first started on her trips to far off cities such as London and Hong Kong, to study at prestigious institutions such as the Sassoon Academy and Toni&Guy Academy.
